GENERAL MANAGER (Cambridge Club)
Dean Brown, a Kinesiology graduate from the University Of Western Ontario, came to the health club business through the world of squash. Dean was a top Canadian junior squash player and played three years for the Western Mustangs where he captured three OUAA Gold Medals and a silver medal at the NCAA Squash Championships.
Upon graduating in 1995, Dean was named the Head Squash Professional at the Adelaide Club and in 1998 moved on the Cambridge Club in the same position. He continued to compete on the Canadian Circuit and on the International Squash Doubles Association where he achieved a World #2 Doubles Ranking in 1999.
Dean was named General Manager of the Cambridge Club in 2001 and held that position for five years where he significantly improved the club's revenues and profitability. Dean moved back to the Adelaide Club in 2006 to oversee the Clubs $2M renovation, and reposition the Adelaide Club as one of the country’s finest health clubs. During his tenure there, the Club saw a membership increase of over 800 members and has won rave reviews within the industry and the media at large.
Now a partner in the Cambridge Group of Clubs, Dean has returned to the Cambridge Club to act as the club’s General Manager once again as well as acting as the Executive Vice President in charge of operations for the company |
