MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR (Cambridge Club)
Bill MacDonell has been in the Club business for over 30 years and comes from a remarkable sports background having been a professional tennis player (and an alternate on Canada’s Davis Cup Team), a professional squash player, as well as playing hockey in the Philadelphia Flyers organization in the 1970s.
Bill entered into the Club business in 1978 as the Tennis Professional of the legendary Players Club in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After a few seasons, Bill ventured back to his roots in Toronto, where he and childhood friend Gordon Anderson, purchased and founded the Squash Academy on Queen Street. Bill and Gordon sold the Squash Academy in 1990 and shortly after, Bill moved over to the Cambridge Club as its Membership Director.
The Cambridge Club flourished under Bills tenure as Membership Director and in 1996, he was named a partner in the Cambridge Group of Clubs. Currently, Bill is the Cambridge Group of Club’s Executive Advisor, where he provides input and applies his expertise on a variety of club and corporate levels, as well as being an integral part of the Cambridge Group of Clubs’ Corporate Sales Team. |
